Tonight is going to be a great time of fellowship. We will celebrate the anniversary of the founding of MBC with a fellowship buffet. A great number of you have responded that you will be in attendance and we look forward to enjoying the time together. Thank you ahead of time to a great group of servants who have not only prepared the meal tonight but to all those who have been involved in the planning and implementation.
At 6:00 p.m. tonight, we will be having Bible study so plan on being a part of the continual study of God’s word. An important part of our walk with Christ is allowing His word to guide us – and we receive much of that guidance in Bible study.
Easter Sunday is this week!Plans are being completed and this is going to be a great week. Our schedule is as follows:
*9:15-9:45 a.m. – an abbreviated Sunday School. Make plans to arrive on time so that you can take advantage of each moment with your Sunday School class. As always, if you have never been to a class before, this is a great week to begin! Our greeters will be in the foyer to help you find your way to an appropriate class.
*9:45-10:20 a.m. – a fellowship breakfast. This is intended not only for our church members but for all our visitors as well. Make plans to enjoy the fellowship and to welcome all who come. If you are unable to be at Sunday School, please join us for this great time together.
PLEASE NOTE: You are requested by the hospitality committee to bring “breakfast finger foods” for this fellowship breakfast – items such as muffins, breads, biscuits, and other items you can eat with your fingers! These can be dropped off on the way to Sunday School in the Fellowship Hall.
*10:30 a.m. – Worship of the Resurrected Lord! He Lives! We will celebrate and worship during this important service. Join us and invite your friends/family members. They will hear a clear presentation of the meaning of Easter and of the Gospel.
As you prepare to be a part of the worship services at Metairie Baptist, I want to encourage you to continue to be faithful in your attendance, in your inviting of others, and in your giving sacrificially to the ongoing budget needs of the church.
At this time, the weather services are indicating that it might rain on Sunday – so begin now to prepare! The great news of a risen Savior outshines the darkness of any rain cloud! He lives!
On the journey,
